Bookings: Bookings do not hold firm until a completed and signed Booking Form together with the course fee has been received by the UK Survival School Limited (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”). The Company reserves the right to decline bookings without explanation.

Age: Course participants (hereinafter referred to as “you”) must be at least 18 years of age at the course commencement date.

Vouchers: Vouchers are non-refundable and non-transferrable. If dates are not chosen at the time of booking, vouchers are only valid for 12 months.

Alterations & Cancellations by the Company: Whilst every attempt will be made to ensure that the courses actually run, the Company reserves the right to vary or cancel any courses should this become necessary, i.e. due to dangerous or unsuitable conditions. In the most unlikely event of cancellation by the Company, an alternative course date will be offered or monies will be refunded in full.

Alterations & Cancellations by you: If you cancel your course or change the date, for whatever reason, you must do so in writing and the following charges will apply. Please note the commencement date for Expeditions is the preparation weekend, being phase 1 of the expedition:-
Within 8 to 10 weeks of the course commencement date: No Charge
Within 6 to 8 weeks of the course commencement date: 25% Charge
Within 4 to 6 weeks of the course commencement date: 50% Charge
Within 4 weeks of the course commencement date: 100% Charge

Punctuality: You must make adequate travel arrangements to arrive in time for the start of the course, as stated in the course itinerary. If you are late for whatever reason you will miss the course and you will not be entitled to a refund or alternative course date.

Fitness: A general standard of fitness is required. If you have a medical condition, you are strongly advised to seek your doctor’s advice. Information given to the UK Survival School will be strictly confidential. The Company cannot be held responsible for any illness or injury caused as a result of an ongoing medical condition and/or poor standard of health & fitness. Should the Instructor consider you to be unfit you will not be admitted on to the course and will not be entitled to a refund.

Behaviour: The Company will not allow the behaviour of any one individual or group to jeopardise the safety or enjoyment of course participants or Company staff and if you are found to be doing so, you will leave the course. Alcohol and illegal drugs are strictly prohibited on the course and if you are found to be in possession of alcohol or drugs, or to be intoxicated, you will leave the course.

Safety: You must comply with the safety regulations and instructions of the Company’s staff. Should an Instructor find that you are jeopardising the safety of others, then you will leave the course and will not be entitled to a refund. Should you fail to adhere to kit list and/or safety instructions issued by staff members, the Company cannot be held responsible for any resulting illness or injury.

Equipment: You are responsible for the company’s equipment, issued to you during the course, and will be liable for loss or breakage. All equipment must be handed back in the same condition it was given to you. A full kit list of what you must bring with you is clearly stated in our itineraries, and in the directions issued to you prior to the course. If you do not adhere to the kit list and the Instructor considers that you are ill-equipped, you will not be admitted on to the course and will not be entitled to a refund.

Personal Belongings: You are responsible for your personal belongings and equipment. The Company cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to your personal belongings caused as a result of your own negligence or theft by another party.

Country Code: You must respect the environment being utilised throughout the course. The Company will not be responsible for any damage or destruction caused to the countryside or buildings or livestock thereon due to your neglect or actions. If you are found to have caused, or are behaving in a manner likely to cause, such damage or destruction, you will leave the course without refund and may also be liable for compensation to the owner of such land or property. You should also note that you will not kill any animals on any of our courses – animals, fish and poultry are provided dead by local suppliers and you will be shown how to prepare and cook them.

Insurance: The Company has secured Combined Liability Insurance with a reputable Outdoor Activities Insurer. A copy of the Company’s insurance certificate can be provided upon request. Any claims arising as a result of the actions of the Company or its staff should be addressed to the Company in writing giving full details of the basis of your claim.

Agreement: The Company operates a Risk Assessment Procedure as set out by the Health & Safety Executive guidelines. The information provided by you in the Booking Form is an integral part of this process and the Company cannot be held responsible for any illness or injury brought about or exacerbated by non-disclosure or embellishment of an existing medical condition, disability, allergy, illness or injury.
