Wilderness Survival Courses & Expeditions
2006/2007 Programme update
Our UK programmes continue to be in high demand with all our past wilderness survival training courses and expeditions running at maximun capacity, attended by adventurers from all walks of life, including overseas volunteer personnel, security and medical services, teachers, journalists, geologists, independent travellers, gap year students, expedition teams, outdoor leaders and armed forces personnel, as well as adventurous individuals and groups looking for an exciting, challenging and enjoyable experience. Most recently, we worked with Chris Ryan at our training base in the Brecon Beacons, Wales as technical advisors and location support team on his latest TV survival series “How not to die”, shown on Sky One.

Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO)
‘Know Before You Go’ campaign
The UK Survival School are pleased to announce our recent appointment as official Information Partners committed to the charter of the ‘know Before You Go’ campaign. Launched in 2001, ‘Know Before You Go’ is an ongoing consular awareness campaign run by the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO). It encourages British nationals to be better prepared for their overseas trips with a view to avoiding common travelling traumas, risks and dangers.
The key campaign message is simple and applies to everyone – Know Before You Go – get travel insurance, research your destination including local laws and customs, visit your GP at least six weeks before travelling overseas and make copies of important travel documents.
The UK Survival School continues to run the most comprehensive Adventure Travellers survival course available in the UK.
Talisman is a unique course covering the fundamental wilderness and urban survival skills required to venture into the unknown. The course is undertaken in the remote and breathtaking mountain forests of the Brecon Beacons, Wales. With a reputation for unpredictable climates and challenging terrains, the Beacons are one of the few regions in the UK that can realistically prepare you for adventure into remote environments.
