Wilderness survival courses - organised by the School aim to be innovative. The first objective is to create a wider understanding of nature and to provide essential knowledge and skills to sustain and save life. The second objective is to have fun learning these skills. The instructors come from a variety of backgrounds, including the British Armed Forces. They are experienced leaders and have spent extended periods of time in extreme climates and remote regions throughout the world.

The body and mind have a unique ability to cope with challenging and arduous conditions and it is to this end that the school has developed team building, navigation, mountaineering classes all structured to provide not only the knowledge and skills to overcome such conditions, but also to give confidence to those people for whom the world of adventure is yet to be discovered. There are infinite opportunities and exciting experiences to be found in the world's remote regions, from the mountains to the deserts and the jungles to the Poles - the School can provide the key to open that opportunity. On the basic weekend you will learn how to prepare for and react to a extreme situation, to acquire water and food, how to make fire and cook with it, to find and build a shelter, administer another life support, how to cross rivers, despatch a distress signal, and to navigate by nature and a compass by day and by night.

Advanced training - This training is a natural progression from the Basic Training class although we do accept candidates with basic experience. All skills covered will have to be applied throughout the exercise.
