Survival schools - organised by the UK, experienced instructors aim to be innovative. The first objective is to create a wider understanding of nature and to provide essential knowledge and skills to sustain and save life. The second objective is to have fun learning these skills.

The instructors of the class come from a variety of backgrounds, including the British Armed Forces. They are experienced leaders and have spent extended periods of time in extreme climates and remote regions throughout the world.

The body and mind have a unique ability to cope with challenging and arduous conditions and it is to this end that the instructors have developed structured training to provide not only the knowledge and skills to overcome such conditions, but also to give confidence to those people for whom the world of adventure is yet to be discovered. There are infinite opportunities and exciting experiences to be found in the world's remote regions, from the mountains to the deserts and the jungles to the Poles - the classes can provide the key to open that door.

This course gives you the opportunity to put your basic mountain skills to the test in one of Britain's most scenic and demanding locations. Standard core skills as per main page.

This course is a natural progression from the Basic Mountain Training although we do accept candidates with basic experience. Also during the course of the exercise, you will be required to improvise from nature to provide and construct essential items of your equipment, i.e. your pack and utensils.  You will also terminate the exercise with an "in-house" organised search and rescue exercise, as one of your party goes missing.  The finale is another river crossing, this time using your equipment as a flotation aid.
