Survival schools uk - organise courses which aim to be innovative. The first objective is to create a wider understanding of nature and to provide essential knowledge and skills to sustain and save life. The second objective is to have fun learning these skills.

The body and mind have a unique ability to cope with challenging and arduous conditions and it is to this end that the school has developed survival schools uk structured to provide not only the knowledge and skills to overcome such conditions, but also to give confidence to those people for whom the world of adventure is yet to be discovered. There are infinite opportunities and exciting experiences to be found in the world's remote regions, from the mountains to the deserts and the jungles to the Poles - the School can provide the key to open that door.

The instructors come from a variety of backgrounds, including the British Armed Forces. They are experienced leaders and have spent extended periods of time in extreme climates and remote regions throughout the world.

Kit List for Basic Weekend

  Rucksack
  Clothing appropriate to season i.e. warm and waterproof (not jeans) - Tracksuits or lightweights are ideal, and dry clothes and a hat for sleeping in, swimsuit/shorts for the river
  Gloves
  Sturdy comfortable boots
  Sleeping bag
  Roll mat (optional for comfort)
  1 x Water bottle
  Knife, fork, spoon, plastic bowl and mug
  Clasp knife, if you possess one
  Torch and batteries
  Personal wash kit and towel
  Notebook and pencil
  Camera (optional for memories!)
  Personal first aid and medication, if required
  Personal survival tin kit, if you possess one
  Protection from the sun, i.e. sun cream, glasses, hat etc

This training gives you the opportunity to put your basic mountain skills to the test in one of Britain's most scenic and demanding locations.
