Survival school courses - organised with the aim to be innovative. The first objective is to create a wider understanding of nature and to provide essential knowledge and skills to sustain and save life. The second objective is to have fun learning these skills. Training continues to deliver their training throughout the winter season from November through to March.  The format and principles are still the same, although some techniques may vary so that the key skills can be applied to the environment and climate.  For example, if snow cover is present, we will construct snow shelters, but as you will appreciate, we are unable to guarantee snow.  

The body and mind have a unique ability to cope with challenging and arduous conditions and it is to this end that the survival school courses are structured to provide not only the knowledge and skills to overcome such conditions, but also to give confidence to those people for whom the world of adventure is yet to be discovered. There are infinite opportunities and exciting experiences to be found in the world's remote regions, from the mountains to the deserts and the jungles to the Poles.

The instructors come from a variety of backgrounds, including the British Armed Forces. They are experienced leaders and have spent extended periods of time in extreme climates and remote regions throughout the world.

Training run annually in the Isle of Skye and are open to anyone over 18 years of age.
All skills covered will have to be applied throughout the exercise.  You will live, eat and sleep in the mountains and forest environment - during some of the more reflective periods, lectures are delivered on subjects relating to remote environments.

This course is a natural progression although we do accept candidates with basic experience.
