the Essentials Weekend you will learn and
experience practical
hands on training on how
to utilise
the natural environment and
resources
for shelter, fire, water and food,
making cordage for snares and fish lines from plants, making
fishing hooks from wild shrubs, learning about animal tracks
and signs, making fire with fungi, spending the night sleeping
in the forest in a shelter that you have constructed using
only what nature has provided and learning how to plan and
prepare for a future safe outdoor adventure of your own
including how to navigate by map, compass and
nature's signs under the guidance of
our qualified and experienced outdoor leaders. |

The
Essentials
Weekend
can be undertaken in either the Brecon Beacons or Herefordshire,
both locations are abound with numerous native species of
flora and fauna that thrives within it's natural habitat.
The
essentials weekend is open to all, whether you wish to participate
on your own or with friends, below you will find up to date
information about the course itinerary and scheduled course
