Borneo is home to some of the oldest rain forests in the world.  Plants and fungi thrive in the warmth, water and light, yet the landscape varies widely from region to region. A great diversity of species has also evolved throughout this land where the indigenous peoples have survived for over 40,000 years. The Jungle Wilderness Skills Experience takes us to the heart of the rainforest and back to nature where jungle survival skills are a way of life.

It is important to allow time to acclimatise to the environment, therefore we spend the initial days of the expedition introducing you to the jungle slowly. Our journey takes us into the dense highland rainforest where we learn the skills passed on through generations of the Kadazan Dusuns - bamboo craft for shelter, traditional medicines, edible foods and fruits, trapping and hunting, to name just a few of the essential Jungle survival skills you will cover over the next week spending time with the Kadazan Dusun people learning first hand the skills, traditions and culture.
